Conclusie: De VOCI beschikt over goede psychometrische kwaliteiten.
Summary
The Vancouver Obsessive Compulsive Inventory
Background: The VOCI is a questionnaire for the assessment of obsessive-compulsive symptoms that was developed in Canada as a successor of the frequently used MOCI. The present study describes the psychometric properties of the VOCI for the Dutch situation.
Method: A Dutch translation of the VOCI was examined in five populations (OCD, n = 60; anxiety, n = 30; general psychiatry, n = 551; depression, n = 111; students, n = 163). To examine the validity several additional instruments were administered.
Results: The internal structure, the convergent, divergent and discriminant validity, as well as the reliability (Cronbach's alfa) of the VOCI are supported.
Conclusion: The VOCI has good psychometric properties. Especially the subscale for hoarding seems to have surplus value compared to other questionnaires for obsessive-compulsive problems.
